Hi! I'm Valentina Peirano, a Chilean Data Scientist, Astrophysicist, and self-taught Information Designer living in The Netherlands. While my studies all lie in the realm of Astrophysics (I have a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Groningen), my passion for data design has influenced my decisions since the beginning.
Throughout my academic career, I have designed my own graphics, visual elements, and scientific illustrations. I have always found a way to integrate design and science, using it to share my research with the world, to explain it to my peers, and to relieve myself from the pressures of scientific life. I am currently starting a career in data science and working on a self-initiated design project called banaal.design.
